Access our help

You can attend our residential burn and scar Rehabilitation Centre in Merseyside, UK once the social isolation restrictions are lifted, and we are back up and running there. In the meantime, our new Remote Rehabilitation Service conducted over calls and video calls, is fully open. We have treated and cared for many patients who have all experienced changes which have improved their well-being and physical health.

We encourage you to still get in touch about all rehabilitation services if you’re a survivor, or refer patients if you are a health worker, despite the current Coronavirus situation, as we can:

– support you and start to assess you for the in-person Centre stay over the phone and secure emails.

– assess you, tailor a programme and deliver a Remote Rehabilitation package

  • We welcome discussions about your eligibility, suitability and if you could benefit from the programme of rehabilitation.
  • The service is for adults of any gender, who have a burn injury, or an injury resulting in significant scars.
  • Services have been designed to help the journey of rehabilitation once emergency and acute care has been completed with NHS burns services, you may still be attending out-patient appointments.
  • For those of you who are best suited to a stay at the Rehabilitation Centre, you’ll experience a stay of multiple weeks, typically a month with remote support either side of your stay.
  • For those of you who are best suited to Remote Rehabilitation, you’ll experience a tailored package that is delivered by specialists over the phone and video calls, as well as developing your own independent plan of goal-focussed activities.
  • A tailored programme of scar management, specialist physiotherapy, survivor to survivor support, goal focused activities and well-being will be designed with you at the heart of it and in consultation with your existing networks, including your NHS burns team.
  • If you or an adult you know would like to know more, or you have any questions about this service, please contact us.
  • Whether you’re a clinician or service provider asking on behalf of someone else, or the person who has themselves been injured, you’ll hear from one of our expert team.
