Survivor led: survivors are at the heart of our organisation, guiding our work and informing our decision making, nobody can make a bigger impact on survivors of burns than survivors themselves.
Caring: survivors have already been through so much, we treat each survivor with compassion and care, creating supportive environments where survivors can thrive.
Respectful: we respect people for who they are, we see the individual not the injuries, we value difference and deal with people on their terms.
Passionate: we use our commitment and drive to energise and inspire, creating hope and becoming a positive force in the lives of survivors.
Progressive: we draw inspiration for new, effective ways of creating change from far and wide. By embracing new technologies and adopting fresh approaches survivors will have access to life changing opportunities.
In 2020 we launched a new strategy. Running from 2020 – 2022 the strategy provides a framework to develop our rehabilitation services to help more people and provide truly individualised care. It also ensures that we listen to survivors so we can advocate for them and develop services accordingly.
The strategy focuses on 3 main themes:
