The Katie Piper Foundation Is The Official Charity Of The Ideal Home Show!
The Foundation was thrilled to be the Official Charity of The Ideal Home Show which took place at Olympia, London from 20th March – 6th April 2015. And we are pleased to announce that we will also be the benefitting Official Charity of both The Ideal Home Show at Christmas at EventCity, Manchester from 12th – 15th November and at Olympia, London from 25th – 29th November.

Katie was the show’s new ambassador for Fashion & Beauty and show organisers Media Ten kindly offered KPF the opportunity to be the Ideal Home Show’s official charity in 2015 – of course, we jumped at the chance, though organising our presence over the eighteen days of the show was quite a challenge! We were delighted to also offer a special 2 for 1 ticket deal for the Foundation for a limited period.
Many visitors to the show made donations to KPF when purchasing their tickets online and by giving money to the many Foundation volunteers that walked the show fundraising for us with our KPF collection tins – the show was a great success for the Foundation, raising £4,186!
We must say a special thank you to all of our KPF beneficiary volunteers who supported us throughout the eighteen day event and also a very big thank you to all of our other wonderful volunteers and those from Marks & Spencer who gave their time to fundraise for us at the show. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to promote the Foundation to the many thousands that attended.
As Fashion & Beauty Ambassador for the Show, Katie challenged the conventional catwalk by hosting three days of “Confidence – The Secret” fashion shows featuring alternative catwalk models from the Foundation (KPF beneficiaries Tulsi, Raiche and Lin were thrilled to take part) plus two models from Models of Diversity.
When Katie spoke to MailOnline about the initiative, she said: ‘I am working with The Ideal Home Show as a fashion and beauty ambassador to launch a bespoke show with alternative catwalk models chosen from my foundation, the Katie Piper Foundation, and Models of Diversity. It’s all incredibly exciting.’ Explaining the inspiration behind the show’s name, Katie said: ‘It’s called Confidence – The Secret because confidence is something you can use to express yourself and convey yourself and it’s something I’ve used through several periods of my life. It’s not about trying to look and be perfect, it’s about a positive mindset and being the best version of yourself that you can possibly be.’
